take notice of the shape in my drawing , it’s 700c center lock . I think the original owner laced the rim to a center lock hub

Your correct it’s not worth the hassle and risk , when the aluminium mount snapped I used 3 large cable ties around the frame and the calliper bracket but it was out of alignment and rubbed sometimes . I’m going to keep the fork bearings just in case but there was noticeable wear on the bottom...
