the photo from that thread is a good resource to do a vector graphic out of it. if it's helpful, i could do that easily in adobe illustrator. then you only need to find someone with a 'plotter' nearby to make a vinyl decal.

in my opinion it's a caad 9 too. there are some differences to a CAAD8 frame to identify it as a 9er. i'm looking by myself for a CAAD9 in white with red decals since some time and so i've seen some of those black CAAD9 with this 'premium'-fork at 'kleinanzeigen'. good research, @letsbike!

why the decal is cracked? is there so much movement in the carbon when riding the bike?

and maybe no need because there are individual parts on frames, that only used incombination on singular models. but then it's more a riddle to identify the model :) my guess is CAAD3 R500 after 2000. CAAD3 coz of the straight seat stays. R500 coz the 1 1/8 ahead stem. R600 isn't possible...

but maybe that were not 'their' thoughts. what is when cannondale did just build (cross)motorbikes as one conseqent next step, coming from building awesome mountainbikes. in the end, it's not far away from where they came from and what they did. maybe it was not the plan to beat any other...
