Pretty sure that's a 2001 Jekyll 2000SL. Originally had a Headshok fork. Check out the 2001 catalog and see if some of components match up. Check for a two letter code on the BB shell. It should end in L or M. L indicates 2000 and M 2001 manufacture date. 2001 model year bikes could be made in either year.

Can you post a pic of the crank arm that shows the damage?

Believe your bike had a Cannondale branded crank originally. Single arms turn up on eBay occasionally. I don't know who made those cranks but there are likely other brands that would be functional if the exact one can't be found. I'm going to try to get to a big swap meet on Saturday. Happy to look if I can determine what you need.

Still has the Cannondale set, the left pedal arm has been loose at some point and rounded off the corners of the square fitting hole, local bike shop said I’ll never find one and a new crank set that fits will be at least £350 ! If that’s the case I’ll ebay the bike as spares

That looks like an Octalink V1 spline, but check the BB photos here to be sure, and for a partial list of other V1 cranks.

If it is in fact V1, I believe that XTR is the only Shimano MTB group that uses that spline. Still, used XTR cranks are surely out there for much less than £350. I think a road crank arm would work fine. 5502 is V1 and made in black or you could make do with silver or paint a silver 105 or Ultegra black. There were Octalink cranks made by other manufactures (Ritchey, RaceFace, Origin8, etc.) but I'd have to do some research into which spline pattern each used.

If you can't come up with an Octalink crank, I'd just put an inexpensive square taper crank (LX, FSA, etc.) in and enjoy the bike.
