Suntour shifter assembly

Anybody have a picture of the parts breakdown of shifter assembly?

I seem to be short a rubber gasket/o-ring type seal. Are they important?

edit: looking at my other bike and pictures of shifters on ebay it appears the rubber goes on the friction/fd shifter side

I don't think function will suffer without the rubber part. I think it's just there to fill a small gap between the lever and the backing plate/lever stop.
