Got this m700 from a guy that got it when the bike was 3 jrs old.

He used it the last years to pull a kart to bring the kids around town.
My initial idea was to use it for parts and put the tyres on the m1000 but ..... kinda like it this ruff.
its all original exept steer and tyres
The bike is used pretty hard but frame has no dents
What would you do to it??

I would love to find that bike locally at that price. I would touch up the scratches, put a new chain on it, swap out the bar and stem, and be quite happy with it.

I was thinking the same yesterday
Changed stem, steer and sadle
Gave the frame and seatpost a polish
Looked at the us prices: that makes a lot of difference
Time to export to the us :)
Wil change cables and chain
The other moving parts are is good shape

Always have a hard time scrapping these bike,s for parts and then end up with another one in the collection.

I would have to be well compensated to take a bike in that condition apart. It looks to me like a bike that someone could get thousands of miles of use out of.

I can attest to 1992 M700's being super reliable. I get a little chuckle when people bash on loose bearing axles..I've never had any issues with my LX front hub, nor the '97 AceraX rear for that matter.
