Age of my Scalpel

Hello all. I realise this is probably asked often, but I'm unable to determine the age of my bike. I bought this a few years ago, second hand, and have never been able to work out the age, is it 2006/7? Or earlier? Any of your expertise would be gratefully received! Regards - David

Decal style looks more like 2003/2004 to me. I have the USA catalogs for those years but not the European ones. Check your bottom bracket shell for a bar code sticker. If it's there, you should be able to determine the model year, at least within 1 year. I'm not clear if the bar code year corresponds to model year or year of manufacture. Your bike could be a 2004 Scalpel 2000, though the decals and color don't quite match.

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm even more impressed with the bike now, knowing it's older than I thought.
