So after having these 2 sit in climate controlled storage for many months, I’ve realized I’m probably not going to do anything with them, here is THREAD with couple pics, so looking to sell them. Been several years since I was active on eBay, so not sure where to really list them, or for how...
At least around me (SW lower MI), the inventory at the dealers is a fraction of what it used to be, so leftover bikes, which seem to be few, stay at their original price. I ride an XL frame, and finding those in stock has been nearly impossible.
Not sure if year is right, made a guess, built this up from a frame/fork set for my sister. XTR FD, V brakes, SRAM 9.0SL RD, Shimano WH-M535 wheelset. Planning for this to go to my now 5 yr. old daughter once she’s big enough.
I may be the outlier, but I would not buy another older bike. My sentimental attachment to the 2 old Cannondale's I have is the only thing that keeps them in storage. I am looking for a new "daily driver", looking at a Pivot Mach 4 SL,
It’s been so long I can’t be sure, but seem to recall springs were steel. Used them for many years without issue though. In fact that was before I knew how to ride, so bent a Gary Fisher frame and 2 crank sets with those pedals, so would not call them weak.
Not sure if they are still around, but at the time they were one of the better platform pedals. Link I tried a few different clipless, suppose much of that boils down to simple personal preference or availability, as you said. I think I have my Ti eggbeaters somewhere, hope so seeing what they...
Back in the day I seem to recall running eggbeaters, still have the Sidi shoes somewhere in storage. I’d swap to the XC’s when I was going with groups of friends much less serious, and those stayed on for my Brother-in-law, thankfully he did not get rid of those. With a 5 and 10 year old as my...
So I believe 32, they are marked 900, I am not sure, but I think 900 is red and 901 were black. like in pic. It has been a while but back in the day I was told by shop the rear 900 was made by DT and was a “Star” hub, thus the sound. I suppose my other option considered is a Crossmax set...
So I bought this new back in 96, it made its way back to me after visiting my brother-in-law for several years. Sadly it lost the stock rear wheel while there, along with the bag containing every bit of original documentation.
I put the XTR V brakes on as well as the Paul’s love levers, and...
