Unknown trekking bike

Dear all,

I'm thinking of buying an old Cannondale bike. The owner doesn't has any information about the model. Does anyone know the model of the bike on the photo? I searched several catalogues but I didn't find it. It should have been sold in Germany. Any hints appreciated.

the interesting of this picture with the welds for me is, it's absolutely correct.

as i told, had such a trekking bike too before i came into riding roadbikes and stumbled over cannondale bikes.

one day i was out for a ride and after quite some time during a uphill the frame was broken on the top tube / steer tube connection. it just made 'pop' and the weld was broken, as it is written on the paper by cannondale. i was lucky, that it happend uphill... so i didn't crash. with speed on a downhill it would had been worse^^
