Steerer Tube diameter for 2002 Cannondale R400

Hello. I have a 2002 Cannondale R400 and I am thinking about replacing the fork so I can use a threadless stem instead of the quill stem it has now. This 2002 model year was when it was orange colored. Does anyone know the steerer tube diameter for that model? Thanks.

That's a great color. 1" steerer I believe. Measure the OD of the stem quill. If .875" it's a 1" steerer. The Columbus Minimal is the easiest to find 1" carbon fork right now.

Other retailers are getting $250 for the fork.

Another option would be to use a quill adapter.

Yes outside diameter. Pretty sure it's a 1" steerer. Cannondale used some threaded aluminum 1 1/4" forks in the early 90s but they were long gone by 2002.

All except the R400 I think. It had a threaded fork and a quill stem. Pretty sure it had a 1" head tube.
