Need help identifying vintage Cannondale frame

I'm trying to identify this Cannondale frame that I purchased a couple of weeks ago. Comes with Ultegra 6500 groupset.

Did you check the SN? Decals look 97/98ish

If it came with the 6500 group it would most likely be a 1998 or 1999 R1000. The crank is a later substitution. Ultegra was still 8 speed in 1997.

I don't recognize the paint scheme. Are the decals on top of the paint or clear coated?
