Hi all , I need a front wheel off a badboy 2008 alfine 8 , 700c , Uk . Looked on eBay but nothing

Do you have a photo of the rear wheel?

take notice of the shape in my drawing , it’s 700c center lock . I think the original owner laced the rim to a center lock hub

Have you thought about getting a new set of rims? If you are going period correct you can go that route as well. Finding a match to me seams like more work. Just get a nice set of 700c disc rims.

I’ve got the original 26 inch mavic 223 wheels in mint condition , what’s your thoughts on a set of 700c ? , I need strong wheels

If it is a 26" frame that can fit 700c rims/tire. Then look for a set of 29er rims. 29 has taken over and killed both 26 and 27.5.

I run stans 29er rims. Super strong. And any good set of 29 will be strong. If you are running QR front and rear, that might be harder to find. But I can recommend stans.

I was to believe 700c is 28 inch . F700 can just about run 28mm Front and 35mm rear . Also I thought 29 was just 28’s with fatter tyres

I just looked up Stan wheels but they are tube less which is not going to be an option unfortunately

28" has never been commonly used as a designation in the USA but has been used in Europe to refer to 700C (622 mm ISO) tires. Not sure why as most traditional road tire diameters are closer to 27" than 28". There were also 28" rims used in Holland, UK, India, Sweden and China that were 635 mm. I've never measured one but I'd guess tires for those rims are actually fairly close to 28" diameter.
