I'd like to present my F2000SL (that is what I think it is).
I bought this bike recently for only 150 euros but it turned out to be in a worse state than I had noticed when I bought it.
So I stripped my F700 for parts and put them on this bike:
* steer (it was rather narrow)
* stem (it was too short)
* shifters, I did not like the gripshifts
* rear derailleur (the SRAM did not work with my XT shifters)
* bottom bracket, it had slack
* all the gears, totally worn out
* cranks
I also put a new chain (it was very rusty) and new pedals onto the bike. And I bleeded the front disk brake.
Of course it was a shame to strip the F700, especially because I loved its yellow color but its paint was peeling and the headshock lockout was no longer working. Also I discovered a potential risk in the F700 frame while stripping:
I am happy I now have an 'optimo' bike in good condition, with lockout and rebound adjustment.
