I was saddened by this recent post and would like to apologize to anyone who was offended by my ignorance that Limey is a word that the people from the UK do not like. I only used it because it was the screen name of the person I was communicating with and I thought he, and therefore I, was using it as an endearment. How little I know it seems. Anyway, I have the utmost respect for everyone on this site and I hope all my other posts have reflected that fact. I try to be supportive of everyone no matter what brings them here.
Again, please forgive this lapse of judgment.

Limey is NOT an insult ! It is a point of pride. We discovered how to avoid scurvy.

It was the response to my Benny Hill salute as i am a proud Limey.
