1991 SM700 - value?

Hello All,

I am the original owner of this 1991 SM700 that's been living a life of leisure in my basement for over 30 years(!). Other than the addition of onza bull horn bar ends and an aftermarket seat, it's in completely original condition with minimal wear.

I'm not actively looking to sell it, but I am curious to know if the bike is anything special from a vintage collector/enthusiast perspective.

Any input is appreciated. Cheers.

I think I am a poor judge of value but I would have to say being a 700 series your bike is going to be a more desirable model due to higher end components for the time period. And it does look to be in fantastic condition.

Your location and the popularity of mt. bikes around you would influence value I think. The general consensus of vintage bike value here and other cycling sites is that they’re down compared to years past.

I’ve not seen an older Cannondale above the 500 series Mt. bike for sale near me but have seen 300/400 examples that get listed in the $150-$250 range. A 700 series isn’t common in my opinion so in my mind it should be more valuable than that range.

Thanks for sharing. Air up those tires and go for a ride!
