I am the second owner of this '93 M1000. Got it for £100 off a colleague at a previous employer. It was a forced sale, his missus having declared a 1 in 1 out policy on new mountain bike acquisitions. He had tears in his eyes and I now know why. Fantastic flea-light frame. I commute about 1000 miles a year on it without complaint and take it away with panniers to the Lake District at least once every year too. Gears, wheels and brakes have all been upgraded.
