Hi,

I wondered if anyone could tell me which model my cannondale is?

It’s a 1990 18inch frame.

Rock shox forks.

Thanks in advance !

It would sure help if you posted a picture of the serial number and of the right side of the bicycle (drive side) when it is fully assembled.

My best guess is that you have a 1991 SM1000. It is common for frames built in the Fall months to be intended for the next model year. Your bicycle has been modified quite a bit over the years. That front fork and wheel are not original, nor are the linear pull brakes. What I am basing my guess on is the brake cable stops welded on the top tube, which was new for 1991, and the color of the frame. Silver was a unique color in those years. The color was called Jetfighter Silver on the SM1000.

Thank you very much for your positive input!

Everything you mentioned above makes total sense.

Thanks again.
