Found this one yesterday
M1000 with no dents in european blue
I personaly love full rigid so wil replace for p bone (have a orange one form my scrap m900)
Also have a original stem end other stuf to go original.
Bike is well maintained so this is a quick fix
Never had a m1000 before
This might be a nice project for a 1*8 conversion
Dit this once on a koga miyata, makes the look realy clean

The orange p bone fits perfectly
The short stem makes it odd too :)
First have to strip the p bone the orange and blue don,t match so good........

Started today to make a radical slr saddle for the m1000
Out of sanding paper so the p bone has to wait a little bit :)
Did this before, the most sadle is a selle italia slr under the skin
Top can be striped of easy in hot water ....... 45 min. Job
Wil polish it a little
Love the raw look .....and the lines of this classic model

Nice job on the polishing. I think it looks fine that way. Paint will be more durable than clear coat though. For me it would depend on how close a match I could get on the paint. Problem is you almost have to pay for the paint before you can be sure of the match.

To make the collor match is not so hard, what makes it difficult is the clearcoat.
The m1000 and also the m900 in tangerine have clearcoat with a sparkle in it.
The more i look at it like this the more i like it.
Will make a gallery when i,m done
