Looking for a model

Hello -

In the mid/early 90's my best-friend had a Cannondale that I envied. I'm going to say it was a rockadile, but based on a google search that can't be.

It was a horizontal top tube, but the frame was flat-ish. Am I crazy? Am I remembering it wrong?

Please Help!!

Jose

Not sure what you mean by flat-ish. Have a look at some of the catalog archives. There weren't many different frame types in the 1990s.

Morning and thanks for responding.

Flattish meaning not perfectly round. Imagine someone taking a round bars pressing the sides. I’m sure it has a more technical name.

Pretty sure that most of the tubes were round in the 1990s. Mountain bikes had oval shaped chainstays with flat sides. Here's a 1991 SM800.

Hmm, I would've guessed a Nishiki of some sort, but you said Cannondale... Does anyone else remember the funky square tubing they used for their frames?
