There were some durability issues with the 1st generation Raven frames. I don't think that there were any SL models in 1999, perhaps a Raven 1000? Condition is very important, and even with good pictures opinions on value can vary quite a bit.

Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate that. When you say opinions on value vary are we talking this is worth $100 or a few hundred or maybe more??

It depends. The 2st Gen Ravens were recalled because the glue would separate the frame. However, I would ride one. But not off road. Price is really up to the person interested. But they are a rare vintage bike. 1999 seams like yesterday. :)

In my experience these seem to go for more money on eBay than Craigslist, FB, etc. I got this off of CL for $300 last spring. I'd say it's in good condition, but not excellent.

And with road tires is the best way to ride this bike. The 1st gen and the 2nd gen both had recall issues. 1st gen i believe was the glue would separate. 2nd gen was I think... the seat post clamp would snap off, as well as the "bonded rear swing recall."

99/2k was a hard time for Cannondale. They were building bikes and motor bikes..

Yeah, I bought it for a cool around town bike, which it does perfectly. Shocks both still function great. I had another 1st gen Raven that I had bought new in college and kept until I sold it in ~2007.
