Cyclocross Cannondale

Hi all!
Can'y reallly find a watertight answer on what type of Cannondale this is... I do suspect a XR800 (98-99), but really aren't sure...
I do think it isn't original anymore, but still looks ace...

Lol, just noticed that same bike for sale in the Netherlands but with different pictures (same blue tire). Seems a caad3 frame and I guess also a (S)R800. Is it yours? It's a lovely bike, I would change the rear tire for sure hehe

I am not a cx or road expert but I sure love these old cannondale cx bikes and sometimes I do a search for them just to check, you never know. This one stayed in my mind. It seems well taken care of, check for example the cable protection with tape. The red brakes are lovely.

Almost certainly a late 90s XR800, red paint only available for two years on the cx frame. The parts look like nice additions, Veloce 10 is fine stuff.

Here is my 98 XR800. Did all the XRs come with Headshok? Maybe that bike you're looking at had it taken off(?)

I can never remember whether "S" or "R" is the Headshok frame, and I have two XR800s. Notice the difference in head tube diameter, the HT is the only difference in the frame between the two models. These frames changed very little until the integrated headset and a disc brake option, both in 2003 I think. Here's my '99 with Campagnolo, and my nearly stock 2000. Wish the 2000 was yellow, hate silver.

Wow, those are really nice! My XS is mostly good, but has some scratches and dings from the previous owner and some of the trails I've taken it on. I always watch for a blue/yellow XS800, but never see them for sale. Someday...

The team blue with yellow is really sharp. I have a CAAD4 R4000 painted that way. I'm still looking for a Silk Road with some color. I have 3, two are white (blah), one black (meh). The early white SR500 is almost a CX bike, as I'm running 27 mm Vittoria tubular knobbies on it, SRAM 10 with bar cons and a 12-36 cassette. Somewhere I had a really cool pick of a winter road ride on this bike but it must be on an old computer.

Got this one recently for a very nice price (especially regarding it has a near mint Brooks saddle on it)
