Adapting dura ace downtube shifter to Cannondale frame

Hi. I’ve got a 1986 SR400 that had Cyclone friction shifters on it. I’m trying to install dura ace indexed downtube shifters. The spacer that sits against the frame doesn’t sit flush because the curve of the Cannondale is bigger than a standard downtube. Does anyone have any suggestions short of shaving down the spacer to make it fit? I haven’t been able to find an adapter. Thanks.

Did you remove the stock shifter bosses? With the stock boss setup you will just need the Shimano spacers with a flat back rather than the radiused ones that you have. Not sure, but I may have a pair.
