Fresh donation at the local bike coop.
1991 Cannondale SM400. Black with faded hot pink decals. More pink than my camera recorded.
In fair condition. We started working on it today. Replaced the rusty bars and way too long stem. Replaced the faded out Diacompe XCM brake levers with some aluminum levers that look newish. The seat post is buggered with a home made fix. Rear axle is broken. Lots of paint scratched off, especially near the drive train. Black is about the easiest color to work with I might do some touch up. Aside from the busted axle, the wheels look okay. Has newer slender street tires. Cannondale bikes have a pretty good rep locally so we will price it at about $200 when done. Could be a fast city commuter.
