    Mavic Ksyrium wheels

had a mavic ksyrium equipe s wheelset on the CAAD3 and i wasn't satisfied. after just 1 summer 2 spokes were broken and after changing them, the wheels were getting more and more unstable. if you look for something more stiff and durable, try some fulcrum wheelset. as blacklightning mentioned...

    How about defining vintage cannondale

naaaahhh... i doubt that. in amateur races with an experienced rider, maybe... but i don't think any worldtour rider can win a race by riding a CAAD9. we should ask alberto bettiol to try that for us... xD as peter sagan did one stage at tour de france in his last year for bora hansgrohe when...

    Threadless stem adaptor/conversion - opinions?

just to show the difference. both bikes are with 54 top tube & seat tube. but the stevens has a 15,5cm steer tube and the caad5 13,5cm. it's a way different feeling, when riding the stevens.

    Threadless stem adaptor/conversion - opinions?

if you're in so much 'trouble', you probably just need another bike with a geometry that is fitting to your ability. you're on a good way to use a zero setback seat post, getting your body more in front and going over to a cockpit with shorter stem and smaller handlebar with less reach etc...

    Stage race with your Cannondale

that's for sure an advantage. so you know at some point how to treat your body and probably the borders of your fitness. and how to unleash and control the 'beast'^^ racing is not only fitness. it is as letsbike also said before a potpoury of all... bikehandling skills, fitness, mindset... to...

    Stage race with your Cannondale

from zero to hero^^ without years, when not decades of permanent training you'll be dropped from the bunch right after the first corner... like a stone thrown into the river :D here in germany you can survive an amateur road race with such an old roadbike from 2004. but even there you need...

SAECO Cannondale Slice CAAD Optimo Timetrial

interesting – thanks! the owner has rebuild it with newer sram- & 3t-components. no campa stuff anymore. so the bike at all isn't original anymore. i knew some of the ironman triathlon bikes. but have never seen them in this saeco paint sceme.

SAECO Cannondale Slice CAAD Optimo Timetrial

found this interesting SAECO Timetrial on kleinanzeigen. anyone has some infos about it? never seen such a SAECO-timetrial frame before. the owner mentioned in that offer, that he hasn't found it on any of the old catalogs. CANNONDALE OPTIMO is the CAAD7 frameset, right? which year was it?

    Cannondale History

these vintage headshock-bikes are perfect to rebuild them to gravelbikes. with gravelbikes you ride trough an environment, where the headshock was made for :) have seen half a year ago an cad3 silkroad in bright shining orangeyellow with black decals... the price and contidion was perfect...

    Hello from ohio

welcome! this black plastic disc on the back wheel... is it a 'thing' to keep the bikes original? were the cannondales delivered orginal with those discs? saw this on some roadbikes here also. all the bikes i owned, it was the first item to remove, if they had it :)

    Catch and Release

nice color! it's in pretty good shape for it's age :) understandable why it's not easy to give it away. with the CAAD3 i was thinking about to keep the frame, coz it was my first roadbike ever... but to good to be not riddin by another dude, who maybe would have a lot of joy with it too. so it...

    SRAM vs. Shimano

that thing with the double tap i didn't knew. maybe it's similar as with windows vs linux...? xD after years with windows on first computers i'm since several years already on linux. it's also quite different to windows and it's usability feels also in some points not so intuitive like windows...

    SRAM vs. Shimano

Since i've rebuild the CAAD5 some years ago i was always thinking about to change from SHIMANO's R3000-groupset over to SRAM. coz SRAM somehow fits in my opinion way better to the Cannondale roadbikes... with all it's other components by VISION & FSA from the US. shimano's R3000 groupset is...
