Hello,
I can't find what is the model of my Cannondale CAAD4; there is no indication and no serial No.
Fabrication year? Size? M odel? How can I find out?
Thanks for any help.

Yes, in fact there is a hardly readable engraved print, which is partially hidden by the fairlead:
KE 00796
413... ...RD4EE8
so it's actually a 1999/May.
Is the size someway hidden in the frame code (should be a 58)?

Looks great, I always liked that Fire Road Fade paint scheme. Closest original model with that paint would be a 2000 R4000. I'm guessing yours was sold as a frameset, so perhaps lacked a model number. Your downtube decals are different too as you have the normal quad wrap decals and the R4000 had the ghosted ones. The R4000 in 2000 was equipped with a Dura Ace crank and front derailleur with Mavic Mektronic shifters and rear derailleur. Wheels were Mavic Heliums according to the spec sheet, but it's shown in the catalog with the orange 28 hole Open Pros that came on R2000s.

I'd guess your frame is around 58 cm. You can measure standover height and compare it to catalog specs. Standover on 56 cm frames was 81 cm, 57: 82, 58: 82.9, 59: 83.7, and 60: 84.7. It will be interesting if it's a 57 or 59, as the odd numbered size frames were only available as framesets and that would further explain the decals/lack of model number. I checked the standover on my 60 cm 1999 R4000 and got right at 84 cm, but it has 20 mm tires which could be a bit shorter than the Michelin 23s that Cannondale specified.
