    Help with Suntour XCD 6000

I've given it a fairly reasonable cleaning and lubing, and it seems to be better. The only trouble spot now is from the largest cog to the second largest. It eventually settles in but it's not perfect. It may get better with use as the lube works through, and how much can I really expect from...

    Help with Suntour XCD 6000

Thanks very much! For now, I'll just work with it as is. Much of my riding is tight, technical stuff or even trials, so shifting under duress is fairly rare. The fourth chainwheel on the front cluster was installed by the original owner (I'm the second), who rode bicycle trials.

    Help with Suntour XCD 6000

I may need to make a new version of the piece, it disappeared. There is a pic of the bike in the forum photos but, here it is. If you're anywhere near Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, come and take it for a ride. I was surprised at how different it feels with the new bars. Now, if I can just...

    Help with Suntour XCD 6000

Thanks for the pics, appreciate that. You're right about the upshift / downshift, I should've been more specific. There was a small piece of plastic that was part of the stopper that butts up against the hanger, but unfortunately, that popped off into my garage somewhere. The derailleur seems...

    Help with Suntour XCD 6000

Hi everyone, I must be getting dumber as I get older. I put higher handlebars on my old Cannondale MTB, and screwed up the rear derailleur cable. Grabbed a new cable and put it on, but I couldn't get the rear to work. It would upshift fine but not downshift, I'd need to do two clicks to get...

    Installing foam bar pads

Thanks for the advice. Water actually doesn't work, but a bit of soapy water did. I'm hoping the soap doesn't come out if we ride in the rain, otherwise my stoker will get to ride and wash her hands at the same time.

    Installing foam bar pads

Actually, maybe this is a nevermind. I forgot to do a bit of research first. Looks like water will help them slide on. Getting stoker bars for my tandem is taking some experimenting. The issue is that my stoker is the same height as I am, and we're both getting a bit old, so the stoker bars...

    Toe-in on brakes

The pads are brand new, just bought them. The old pads are rock hard, might even be original. The bike does not appear to have been ridden much. The seats are original and look new, but seem to be filled with cement. A bit of toe-in seems to have done the trick. I would usually do the...

    Toe-in on brakes

I've installed new shoes on my Tandem's v-brakes but I'm getting some squealing. Normally I'd add some toe-in when I do the shoes but the videos I've seen don't mention anything about toe-in. Am I just old and missed something? Thanks Randy

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Looks like there were some iterations of the car I think. https://www.racingsportscars.com/type/photo/McLaren/M6B.html

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

That's cool, I've never heard of him. thanks for the input. I had a 1/32 J Car, must've sold it. It was awhile ago but I do have photos of it so it was here somewhere. Thunderslot has one of the cars, they make nice stuff. Vanquish made the M6B but it seems unobtainable now...

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Should work now. Oval races never appealed to me, and I suppose I am getting old because cars now-a-days just look like really busy billboards. McLaren's, Porsches, Lolas and especially the Chaparrals were amazing.

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Indycar would be cool, although some of those CanAm cars were very nice. Here's my track, just in case you want to race something a bit smaller.
