    1991 SE1000

So, it's time to conclude the saga of this frame. I was able to sell it to a local bike shop (https://velocitycycles.ca/) and the store owner Travis, absolutely loved it. He hasn't decided if he'll keep it as a frame, or build it up into a period correct bike. It would certainly be a display...

    Welcome Back!

Just by chance I checked back here to see if the site was still down... Nice, back up! Thanks!

1991 SE2000 - brand new in the box!

An update on this and now I have a groupset for this frame. A full, NOS Shimano DX group, again, brand new in the box. Although DX would not have been equipped on a SE2000, it's still period correct and just as good a quality as Shimano XT. Classic thumb shifters and Biopace rings. Oh yeah...

1991 SE2000 - brand new in the box!

One of the first parts arrived today. Period correct with a twist. Yes, it's a Selle Italia Turbo saddle as per spec, but is a new reissue example (date stamp 2016) finished with a technical woven fabric. I bought a Flite version for my San Andreas and just love it. Super comfortable and seems...

Add a sub thread for Non Cannondale builds?

The fork was made by Hausmarke. It was called "Track Royal" and came with a 1 1/8" ahead steerer. Made from cromoly and lugged.: https://www.bike24.de/p192841.html The class admission cost includes the materials to build the frame - which you keep. All in was $3K. A little more than a 1/3 of...

    Delta V 600 on eBay

Along the lines of my SE2000, here's a NOS Delta V (no affiliation with the seller): Interesting price considering this was a low-end model: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Cannondale-Delta-V-600-19-Mountain-Bike/283910927956?hash=item421a68f654:g:sfoAAOSwOeFe4Z8M

Cannondale Super v 900 fr details in gallery

Yeah, they didn't make very many of them. End of an era as it's probably one of the last dual-crown forks that used canti brake posts. Not much longer after this, discs became the norm.

Add a sub thread for Non Cannondale builds?

Maybe let this thread be for that? I don't have a big collection but my non-Cannondales are a 1994 Mountain Cycle San Andreas which I only acquired recently (Dec. 2019) and my own titanium road bike which I made when I attended the United Bicycle Institute's frame building program in Ashland...

    Vintage Decals

There's a guy in the UK that does really, really nice decals and was the one I got my Mountain Cycle decals from. I'm not sure what he has for Cannondale, but from what I gather, he'll also do custom and one-off work. I've also come across a couple others, but with limited Cannondale offerings...

1991 SE2000 - brand new in the box!

Well, if in your collection, some of the bikes you have use that stuff, then you should hold on to it. Once it's used up, it's used up! That's why I'm leaning towards Shimano. Even after several decades, there's still new stuff available. Less and less though, so now's the time to stock-pile...

1991 SE2000 - brand new in the box!

Suntour XC was used on the SE1000 and there is one NOS groupset on Ebay, in Italy that the guy is asking a fortune for it. Doesn't matter as Suntour used a different spline pattern for their cassettes and are impossible to find now. Only NOS available and the usual shops I buy from are asking...

    1991 SE1000

Yes, I gave that thought and did that research, but there are limited suppliers of these odd-ball headsets out there. I wasn't going to spend the time, especially now with the new SE2000. It was still fun to do the repair and had been a while since I did thin-wall aluminum welding. It was an...
