Thanks for that. It's actually a 2019 Topstone frame and forks, but rides lovely with the Raiser bars and stubby stem and it can't half shift!! I've used Tiagra 10 speed shifters and a triple 48 chainset as I used this set up on my hybrid. I find 46 a tad too low and 50 to high for the riding I do.
It's taken a while, but after waiting on two different sprayers my frame is finally ready and I should have it back sometime this week. I'll post more photo's once it's built up.
So, I've just Googled Ral 5017 Volvo and found this photo. It lead me to a link by a German guy restoring a Volvo Cannondale. The Fatty's with the Supper decals and missing bellow were sprayed Ral 5017 to match the original Fatty's next to them.
OK, so I've got a lead . . . . .
I believe the blue I'm looking for is Swedish Blue, which makes sense with the Volvo sponsorship. Also, possibly Ral 5017?
Well, all my leads have hit dead ends. I emailed Vintage Cannondale a couple of weeks aga about the Dupont paint code pages both being the same. They said there should be two pages and there were going to get back to me. I'm hoping my code will be on the missing page.
I'm sure Team Volvo Cannondale switched to Team Blue in 1998, and then Cannondale started producing the Team Replica's in 1999. You could get Iris Blue in 1998, but not team blue.
Yup, both links were the same. I know Cannondale used the Team Blue colour for the Volvo team from 1998 up until 2002, not sure if it was used before or after. Found this nice photo on a Face book site. I did contact them, but not heard back.
Cheers for that, by the way, I stumbled across this. You would have thought the guys at Cannondale would have mentioned it when I contacted them, especially as it's on there Wedsite!! Listed as Team Blue. Looks to me that's my colour (sorry Color :) )
Oh, that would be brilliant. I had a F700sl back in 1999 and sold it about 8 years ago when I got my RZ140. I've got a Quick that I'm wanting to tinker with and I'm going to do it the old team colours. Found decals online. Think it'll be a nice nod to the old bike. I recon I could get PPG paint...
